Tilt Table TestThe tilt table test is a test in which a patient is positioned in a supine position and brought to a predetermined angle or angles from the horizontal position. This test is used to evaluate for a common cause of fainting. Such positioning helps to determine whether an individual has an abnormal reflex between the central nervous system and the blood vessels that may cause fainting.
