Nuclear Stress TestHCA performs nuclear stress tests at its cardiovascular center. The testing usually takes 3 to 4 hours during which time patients are allowed to relax in the comfortable environment our office complex. We have a state-of-the-art dual head, digital acquisition camera that allows for efficient and accurate imaging. We can image individuals who weight as much as 500 pounds.A nuclear stress test enables us to see pictures of your heart while you are resting and shortly after you have exercised. It can give information about the size of the heart, its pumping ability, and whether or not it has any damaged or dead muscle. We also get information about your arteries and whether they might be narrowed or blocked because of coronary artery disease.
